Joining the Cecilians
We’re always delighted to hear from prospective new members in all voices. The best way to get to know us is to come along to a rehearsal or two.
We rehearse on Monday evenings in a school in central Preston. If you’d like to find out how friendly we are, and see if our style and repertoire suit you, please get in touch to find out when the next rehearsals are.
If you do decide you’d like to join us, there is a (very friendly) audition to confirm that you’re singing in the right section for your voice before you sign up.
Subscriptions
We ask members to pay a modest annual subscription fee, which covers the running of the Society, particularly the musical director’s and accompanist’s fees. If you join part-way through a season, or if paying the full subscription all at once might be a problem for you, we are always happy to make individual arrangements.
Students
Members in full-time education are exempt from subscription fees, though we do ask for a deposit for the music we supply to you.
